The Philippine airline industry will soon have a stellar addition to its bedazzling business when Tiger Airways Philippines steps up to the plate. Tiger Airways is already a Superstar on the Asian airline scene and they will no doubt be providing 5 Star service to the Philippine consumers, together with Tiger’s excellent safety & security track record.
Remember the date! July 10, 2013. Tiger Airways Philippines will expand their services in the country with more domestic and international flights. The new Tiger promos on domestic flights are astounding to say the least! On certain dates, one can fly one way from Bacolod City to Manila for the low price of P499 and that, my friends, is less than $12 USD.
About the Tiger
Tiger Airways is the multi-awarded low-cost airlines which is headquartered in Singapore. The Tiger has been around since 2004, with flights to regional Southeast Asian destinations, China, India and Australia.
One will soon be able to fly the Tiger in the Philippines to such destinations as Manila, Cebu, Davao, Clark, Bacolod, Iloilo, Kalibo, Laoag, Tacloban and Puerto Princesa.
Often rated as the best low-cost airlines in Asia, Tiger provides food and beverage options with their buy on board program, so you will not go hungry..or thirsty. You can check out their Tiger Bites Menu!
Tiger Airways has just raised the bar in the Philippines and other low-cost and budget airlines may soon be left far behind the Tiger’s tail! Are you ready to ride the Tiger?

I hope they never expand to CDO because, although I like their service, the air traffic controllers in Manila are already unable to get flights going on time either because of inefficiency or flight number or both. This results in frequent delays in flight times which are usually directed at the carrier, but should be directed at the national air transportation system which is broken already. We need a drop in flights, not an increase in the number of them. If they want to divide the current number flying domestically among CP, PAL, Zest and Tiger it would be fine, but don’t ADD MORE flights to the mess we already have!

I hear you, Jerry. Hopefully with an excellent airline like Tiger Airways entering the airline scene, Cebu Pacific and the other low budget airlines will be cutting back on their flights due to a lack of customers. Many have been disgruntled with Cebu Pacific for years and their most recent fiasco, with their plane that over-shot the runway, really ruined them with some people forever. Regardless of how cheap their flights are. That fiasco shut down the airport in Davao for two days! PAL had to put up customers in hotels, feed them and bus others to CDO to fly out from there.
If I ever have to fly to Manila, I am riding the Tiger. It is only P499 one way on certain times and days and only P1,099 other times. Hard to beat that price and I know the Tiger’s in flight service is top notch.
Have a great day!

Would you recommend foreign based carriers over US ? I have heard a lot of complaints over US airlines !!! Especially getting to the Philippines !!
Gary McMurrain says
Mike,
I rate Delta # 1 and Philippine Airlines # 2 for traveling to and from the Philippines. I flew Delta RT in April and May, 2014.

Delta can be very competitively priced if you keep an eye on the route……Service is nothing to get excited about – but if you are smart and have a long good snooze…..doesn’t really matter.
